Steelhead fishing on the 14th of October was good. The morning is always the best but on this day the action was best near noon when fresh silver fish began to show up as the wind had changed to the northwest. The fellows caught their limit plus fought many more. As always the strong fighting steelies have the habit of jumping and spitting the hook. Steelhead are very strong fighting, ripping hooks off of lures and breaking lines if the drag gets too tight. All action was on red or black shallow running bombers and reef runners. Red mighty minnow caught a few also. Water temp was 63 degrees.

The end of September was good for putting nice size walleye in the cooler.

Walleye are very fun to catch drifting worm harness on the bottom. Rod in hand and a little jigging and the fight is on.
Walleye do fight when going slow or drifting. The fight picks up when the fish rise to the 30 foot level. Head shake and up and down to the angler nets the fish.

Tight lines
Captain Ron
