As usual mother nature provided everyone with some ups and downs for the entire weekend. Saturday morning was a blowout the wind and water were at best unfishable. We decided to wait until the noon hour and take a second look. Our luck was running with us and we had 1-2' seas to start which on a continueing slope decreased to a point of glass water. The fish really turned on and the fun was on. At the end of the day there were 24 nice walleye in the cooler. As the wind decided to return the bite fell off to a crawl. Our crew from PGH were very happy to just get out to fish let alone almost fill the cooler. The standard set up was working well with all colors working. We are fishing anywhere from 225-425' back with trolling weights this method works great to get our bait in front of the fish. Deep diver Renoskys and Reef Runners are the ticket.
Sunday started out the same as Saturday ,fish hitting hard and quick. Currently the schools we are targeting are in 70- 80 FOW and suspended at 40-50-
feet. As always this time of year somthing purple will put a few in your cooler.
Good Luck to All
