The fishing at Walnut Creek is still very good. The fish have moved up into the stream a lot further but as you can see there is still fishing at the mouth.
 The marina doesn't seem to have a lot of fishing in it but you can still launch a boat off the cement walls. It might be kind of hard without the launch ramps but it can be done. The weather has been bad the last few days so the fishing wasn't at its best but the steel head are still in there. I weighed a 13 lb. 14 ½ oz steel head for an angler award. We had 12 ft waves on Thursday with the water crashing over the piers and the west wall. The wind was at 65 knots most of the day (knocked down a few trees also), but people didn't let that hamper their love of fishing. Today, Friday, the fish are biting like crazy. There have been at least 10 people I saw with limits by 11:30 this morning. And that is just in the marina and at the mouth of the creek.
