We started the day, about 8 miles north of Walnut. 60 - 65ft of water. Fishing warm harnesses with crawlers. Put on Gold Erie Dearie's and a crawler and started picking up eyes. Picked up the first eye in about 62' of water heading south towards walnut. Rest of the day picked up a 5 eyes, bunch of perch, some white bass, and a sheeps head. Most of the fish seemed to be caught in the 40 - 48' range. But, radio was saying people were getting them out in the 70's and in the 30's. Seemed most people picked up about 4 - 6 eyes during the day, Lots of perch fishing between the point and condos few miles off shore. Reports of anywhere from 80 - 120 in the box, over the radio. |
