The morning began near Shades Beach with light south wind. Water temperature was 56 degrees. Action here was slow with only a few small fish per drift were caught and lots of gobies

Moved East to Shorewood and the Ws area as the wind when dead. This was the first time here this year. Always had no problem catching lots of fish else where.

The father and son crew picked up a nice double and a few small singles.

Captain got a nice size female in 25 feet just before the lake went flat.

A look at the belly showed signs of the spawn in process. Belly had a lot of light scrapes.

The crew was talking about an early quite. It was near 1:00 pm and mother nature was not going to let that happen.

A breeze from the northeast started to build and the big fish began hitting.

Action was fast and the fish were dancing on the water. The thought now was how do I get them to quite!!!!
This was now the fun time of catching huge smallmouth. Slow start with a good end on the day.

The gobies were biting all day. All the boats around us where also catching gobies. A real nuisance today!!!
