: I am leaving OCt 10th for Erie PA and looking to find largemouth and smallmouth in the Presque Isle area. Does anyone know how the bite is going. I know the area is big on Steelhead, but heard the bass fishing can be very good.

: Thanks in advance,

OZ,
YOU CAN ALWAYS FIND THE LARGEMOUTH IN THE BAY. I WOULD START ON THE SOUTH EAST SIDE OF THE BAY. ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE SAILING MARINA THERE IS A LONG WEED BED THAT HAS BEEN HOLDING THEM. AS FAR AS THE SMALLIES, THEY HAVE BEEN HIT OR MISS.I WOULD TRY OUT IN FRONT OF THE CRIBS WHICH ARE TWO ROUND TANKER FUEL DOCKS(THAT IS MY BEST DISCRIPTION OF THEM). THE SMALLIES SHOULD BE READY TO PUT THE FEED BAGS ON DUE TO THE COOLER WEATHER AND THE FALLING LAKE TEMP.LOOK FOR THEM FROM 12FEET TO 38FEET. ONCE YOU FIND THEM FISH THAT DEPTH.I WOULD TRY LIVE BAIT IF YOU WANT NUMBERS. I USE ONLY ARTIFICIAL LURES AND RETURN EVERY FISH I CATCH (EXCEPT THE 8LB.3OZ HOG LAST FALL) I GO TO PRESQUE EVERY OTHER WEEKEND AND CONCIDER IT THE BEST FISHING AREA AROUND.WE WILL BE UP THERE ON THE 13TH. IN A WHITE HYDRA SPORT A RED RANGER AND A BLACK PRO CRAFT.IF YOU NEED ANY INFO DROP ME A LINE. TAKE CARE AND TIGHT LINES,JOE
