: :i don't understand why any one would get upset over keeping a fair days catch althogh the only fish i keep and believe me i limit out every chance i get are for trout as far as "limits" they are their for many reaons and if they end up in someones garden so be it but i am a firm believer you should eat what you catch and keep wether it be the next day or two months later when the fish is out of season (if you drop down on your hook sizes you will cause alot less damage to the fish you are throwing back)

: MITCH, Tony has a great point. Keep what you will eat and don't justify it by claiming they will die any way. If people rely on limits for food they should sell the boat. Unless the perch is bleeding(then that's a bad fisherman's fault) or the bladder has come out, they can live. If they all come up with bladders hanging out, try reeling them in slowly. The bladder will be fine, the fish will stay fresher longer in the cooler, or live if released. DON"T BE GREEDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The perch will disappear like walleye, the bass will follow, and the boat you have will be worthless.
