Western Basin

Walleye fishing has slowed due to the rough lake conditions. Fish have been caught by trolling or drifting and casting NW of West Sister Island, at the turnaround buoy of the Toledo shipping channel, and along the Canadian border from North Bass Island to Gull Island Shoal. Trollers have been using worm harnesses with inline weights or divers, and also divers with spoons.

Yellow perch fishing has been best around Gull Island Shoal, off of Niagara Reef, off of Marblehead, N of Cedar Point, and in the south passage off of West Harbor.
