Well, despite the waves of rain and storms, we still got our fish this weekend, with limits everyday this week except one where we came up a couple short..
East side of the sandbar was the best and the best bite moved a little every day. The fish weren't the biggest, but alot of good eaters and a couple of throwbacks each day to catch them next year, but each day we had at least one big fish(fish-ohio size) with some of my friends catching some that went up to 33 inches. Be prepared to sort through the white bass and sheep. Hot colors were the funky chicken(by far the hottest), wonderbread, greasy chicken wing, huckleberry, cc-30, cc-29 and cc-38. When out on the sandbar, set those dipseys 100 on a #3, 75-80 on a #2, and 60 to 65 on a #1. 30 jets at 140 to 160 back was working well. Now ther are some inside water walleyes from the ford plant down to huron in scattered pockets from 25 to 40 feet of water and some of them are pretty nice fish, sunday we caught them on 20 jets 100 back and #3 dipseys set at 55-60 back with oilcan perch being the best inside water spoon in a #68 watsetusse and funky chicken a close second. Perch fisherman seemed to be anchored up in 30 to 40 feet off of the castle and when we trolled by we caught some yellow and white perch on zoom spoons. The color video was showing some large schools of fish in those areas.
well as always good luck..
