Before the snow storm of (2/4, 2/5) walleye were caught in the South Passage between Catawba and South Bass. There are no new updates. Most anglers were using typical ice fishing techniques from a boat. Popular techniques include jigging spoons or blade baits, and also fishing with a perch spreader tipped with shiners. High winds and cold temperatures are currently making main lake access difficult and dangerous. Western basin water clarity is also greatly reduced from strong winds. Extreme caution is necessary with low water temperatures.
