Work on cleaning out the Walnut Creek Boat Basin down to the hard shale bottom is finishing up. Paving is scheduled on the north side of the basin
for improved parking and handicapped access.

Some Jumbo Perch are being caught this week in Presque Isle Bay like these
photographed at Chestnut Street Boat Ramp. Crappie have been abundant in the
lagoons & Edinboro Lake Fingers.

The upper two holes of the Walnut Creek Habitat Improvement Project were dug
out by the PFBC while the machines were available. High water from Monday & Tuesday's rains halted the work. Fresh silver steelhead were being taken in Elk Creek at the upper Legion Hole prior to the rains. This should be the last run of Spring. Good success on them is occurring in the Bay.
